Serial Burglar Caught On Camera

Los Angeles: Los Angeles detectives are asking the public's help in identifying a burglar who may be responsible for at least five break-ins to local businesses over the past several months.

Detectives released photographs of the man, who appears middle-aged, tall, and heavy set.

The burglar has smashed or pried doors to four businesses along Ventura Boulevard, between 16000 and 21000 block, and one in the 19800 block of Vanowen Street. He took cash and cigarettes. The burglar’s likeness was captured on cameras in two of the incidents.

"He has a very distinctive appearance," said LAPD Lieutenant Paul Vernon. "Anyone who knows this man, will certainly recognize him"

The burglar is Black, about 6 feet tall, heavy set, and between 45 and 55 years old.
