Distraction Burglaries Video

The Los Angeles Police Department believes that educating the public about various crimes is an excellent tool to be used in crime prevention.

The Department will soon schedule a press conference regarding Distraction Burglaries. The press conference will deal with the prevalence of Distraction Burglaries in different areas of the City, the types of victims that are targeted, the various ruses that are employed by the suspects, and how the victims can prevent being victimized. A video will also be released to the media and public that pertains to Distraction Burglaries.

The video presentation displays a re-enactment of a Distraction Burglary accompanied by a brief narrative from an actual victim of this crime. The video describes what a Distraction Burglary is and how the suspects employ their methods to distract the victim and ultimately take their valuables
